Cook With Me ("we", "us") operates a social cooking platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it when you use our website and services.
Data we collect
- Account data — email, display name, username, profile photo, and bio when you register or update your profile.
- Content you create — recipes, posts, comments, messages, meal plans, and pantry items you choose to save.
- Usage data — how you interact with the service (e.g. likes, saves, follows) to power feeds and recommendations.
- Payment data — subscription status is stored by us; card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and cookies needed for authentication and security.
How we use your data
- Provide and improve the service (recipes, feed, kitchen tools, messaging).
- Send account emails (confirmation, password reset) and optional weekly digests if you enable them.
- Process subscriptions and show your current plan.
- Keep the platform safe and enforce our terms.
Third parties
We use trusted providers to run the service, including:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Stripe — subscription billing
- Vercel — web hosting and analytics
- Resend — transactional and digest email (when configured)
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request. You can delete your account from Settings when that option is available, or contact support.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions. We do not use advertising cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
